My friend!

My friend, Rachel had gone Canada yesterday. Rachel was a student at KGU. She likes Japanese and she is good at speaking Japanese. She joined my circle, Sanpo. It was very happy for me, because I could know about her and her country. Also, I could learn English. I often hanged out with her. We went to Ezu Lake to row a boat. We cooked Okonomiyaki in my circle member’s house. After that, we watched movie and she enjoyed it. We went to Sushi restaurant. She can eat any Sushi. She likes Japanese foods, but she sometimes missed her country foods. Of course we went drinking!! We prefer drinking and eating, so sometimes we spent the night drinking. We talked about each other, and also we talked about our love things! :-) It was very fun!!

She went back Canada, but she will come to Japan again because she wants to stay here again. We promised to meet maybe next year…! When she went back there, I really missed her. She is so kind and she always took care of me. When the rainy day at night, she saw me my home. She always smiles and positive. She is so active to join Sanpo members. She likes Sanpo circle very much, it was very happy for us.

Rachel is studying Japanese so hard, so I thought I have to study English more. Then, I will talk to her in English. She speaks Japanese very well, so I think she studies it very hard. I want to study abroad. If I can go Canada I can see her. Now, I can’t see her in Japan, but I can meet her again. She is my best friend!! I will exchange e-mail and I can contact her on mixi or facebook! See you soon, Rachel!

Summer Vacation

I finished an exam today. I had only 1 exam for exam term, so summer vacation started from today for me! My summer vacation plan is… to go many summer festivals! I want to see many fire works. I love summer festivals because I like to wear yukata. I couldn’t go any summer festivals last year because of Kaigaikenshu, so this year I am sure I will go it many times.

Also, I will go beach and river to swim with my friends. I like them, but I don’t want to get a suntan. I want to keep my skin color, so I have to apply sunscreen to my skin when I go river and beach.

My Friends! ★MARKEYS★

I have eight best friends and we all went to the same high school. We made this group called “MARKEYS”. M stands for Mayu and Madoka, A for Ai, R for Rina, K for Kyoko, E for Eriko, Y for Yuriko, and S for Sayuri and Shiori. We have been good friends since high school, however we used to fight a lot too. We had built such a strong connections between each other, we still talk to each other every once in a while, and we get together every time we come home.

We had studied in the same class for three years because we were all in English class. It was very weird to walk into the class at first because there were no boys in the classroom. We tried to get to know each other at first, but it was not that easy as I thought; girls fight all the time. However I ended up making eight true friends at the end. I’ve probably fought every one of them, but we are now closer than ever because we had been through together so much. We had a huge party after the graduation ceremony and it was so much fun.

I have all their numbers so that I can call whenever I want to. I talk to every one of them at least once a week. I hate hanging up my phone at the end of the conversation because I miss them so much. Some of them live in Tokyo, Fukuoka or even in America to go to school. They all have their own lives now and it makes me sad sometimes because we all used see each other every day. However they tell me how their lives over the phone and I tell them how I’m doing. We are still close as we used to when we were in high school even if we don’t live in the same city any more. Besides Rina and Mayu are still here and they even go to the same school so we go shopping together all the time. It makes me feel better.

We graduated from high school only almost two years ago but we try to see each other as much as we could. Most of them come home for Christmas and New Year, and summer vacation. It’s actually hard to see all of them at the same time since they all have a break in slightly different period but I try to see them all individually. This year, we have the ceremony for coming of the age so we are having a huge party afterwards and I am so excited because all of them are going to be there.

As I said before, we are closer than ever even if we live in different places. We sometimes talk about us fighting all the time when we were in high school and we even laugh about it. We will never be separated from each other because we are connected strongly by our heart. I love them so much and I want them to be on my side for the rest of my life.

I want to get an iPhon! When I went to New Zealand, I have seen real iPhone. It was first time to see it. My friend who is Brazilian had an iPhone. It looked very cool. I became to want to it, because only I touched the screen, I could operate it. And we can listen to many kind of music by iPod. We can enjoy music and video on a widescreen display and shop for music with a tap. We can use real internet (Safari), calendar, GPS-powered maps, and to check weather anywhere. They have more functions. Of course, we can take many photes, and calling. This website says, “With iPhone, making a call is as simple as tapping a name or number. My favorite thing is Rilakkuma. Do you know Rilakkuma? He is brown stuffed bear.He has friends. Their name are Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori. Korilakuma is white bear. Kiiroitori is yellow chick. I really like them. I fell in love them at first sight in character's shop. I will explain about them.

First, Rilakkuma, his favorites foods are dumpling, pancake, omelet containing fried rice and pudding. He is very lazy, so he hates getting up and moving. He always just lie about at home doing nothing. He is got angry by Kiroitori because of his life habit. He likes listening to music, watching TV and taking hot spring bath.

Next, Korilakkuma, she is smaller than Rilakkuma. Her favorites foods are strawberry, apple and cherry. She is pretty, but she likes to play a trick to Rilakkuma. She also likes punk music. Her trademark is a red button on her chest.

Finally, Kiroitori, he likes saving money. He is a reliable bird. He also like cleaning. His name is very simple, because he is an ordinary yellow bird. It is kiiroi-tori in Japanese. I think his name is funny.

I love them, because they become me happy. I can be relax by them. So I have many Rilakkuma's goods. I will collect these things more. The more you know them, the more you may become to like them.

BR01-14: Bad Bert in Trouble

The main character was some children. The children were Mouse, Jojo, Sam and Ben. They played by the stream. And then Grumpyboot who is an old man came there and told not to play there because it was dangerous to may fell in the stream. But San who is a girl opposed well. She told him about when she was six and fell in, Mouse saved her. Mouse is a man and Sam’s friend. He felt proud. So the old man left there.

The children went to climb the trees, Grumpyboots came again. And he warned them not to climb tree. But Sam persuaded him well again. They were fed up with him. So they decided to the secret room. The room was dark and cool and quiet. Then Mouse hers some noise. It looked ghost voice. So they shone the torch into the corner. The appearance was a cat Bad Bert. It was a famous bad cat. But he looked dry blood on his fur. So they decided to help him. They took him to the Jojo’s house. They gave some feed but he didn’t eat. According to her mother, he had been hit by car. So they took him to go to see an animal doctor. The doctor Vet saw him. And Bad Bert had to have rest because he might be badly hurt inside. The children were worried. The next day they went back to the vet. They thought the cat might have died in the night. But he was alive.

When the children wet back home, Grumpyboots waited for them. He also was worried about Bad Bert. But they thought why he came there because he said he didn’t like Bad Bert. After five day, Bad Bart was well. So he could walk and eat. They were so happy. And they took him back to the park.

I thought the children were so kind. But I don’t like Grumpyboots because he was obstinate. I was happy when Bad Bert could get well. In my house I have 6 dogs. So I’m interested in animals. I imagine cat is so cool and not to near people. But Bad Bert were opened the children. So I was pleased. If I were a cat, I want to near people and walk around neighborhood. Cat is very calm and free animal, I think. I want to became such like free cat.

Essay#6: favorite movie

My favorite movie is “Hancock”. This movie is American comedy-drama superhero story. This movie is directed by Peter Berg and starring Will Smith, Jason Bateman and Charlize Theron.

I will introduce characters and this story. Main character is John Hancock, played by Will Smith. He has special power which broken anything. He is a superman in Los Angels. He always helps anyone from bad person, but he also breaks bills, cars or public places, so he was hated by everyone in America.

One day, Hancock helped Ray Embrey who is office worker. Ray really thanked Hancock for saving his life. So he tried to improve Hancock’s public bad image. First plan is that Hancock was sent to jail. Then they could show how much Los Angels people need Hancock, because crime went on increasing without him in Los Angels. So he was offered by the Chief of police to help stop a violent bank robber. He was released from jail, and he helped many people. He became popular in Los Angels as Ray had predicted. This is first story, but there is more complicated story in this movie about Ray’s wife Mary. If you want to know this story, you should watch “Hancock”!

I like this movie because I like Will Smith. He is very cool and his movies are very interesting. Hancock is very strong, so he can help many people in this movie. Actually, he is very kind so I think he is super hero! I want to see him if there is him in the world.

Hello. My name is Shiori Kobayashi. I'm 20 years old. My birthday is September 3rd. My blood type is A. I go to KGU and studying English. I'm belonging to walking club in KGU. I graduated from Luther Gakuin high school. I also studied English there. I belonged to cooking club in the high school.

I have 5 members in my family. My father, mother, grand mother, older brother and me. My parents are high school teachers. My father is a chemistry teacher, and my mother is a home economics teacher. My brother is a graduate student and lives in Nara. My grand mother is a hard worker in my house. She often cooks dinner for us.

My hometown is Nishigoshi town. It takes about 40 minutes to go to KGU from my hometown by car. My hometown’s flower is the sunflower. And my hometown’s tree is the oak tree. I like sunflowers because when I was little, I used to see many sunflowers near my house. My hometown has a spa facility, a mango soft ice cream which is very popular there. It is so sweet!

I belong to walking club at KGU. The club has about sixty people. I usually hang out with my club members, for example, we drink at a bar or friends’ house, we go to karaoke or we go to anywhere by my car. It is very fun. I am a manager of my club website. I often take some club members’ pictures by my phone, and I put those pictures on the website.

I like to play basketball. When I was junior high school student, I belonged to basketball club. Basketball is hard to play, because we have to run many time in a game, but it is very exiting. I really like the club members in junior high school, so club time was very fun. I also started to like playing basketball. Also, I like to watch baseball. My circle members often play it, so I go to watch it. They are usually not so good, but they look cool when they play it.

My favorite subject is English. I have studied it since 10 years old. I went to English conversation lesson with my friends when I was elementary schoolchild. It was like a game not studying. When I was junior high school student, my grade was all A for 3 years, because I really liked English and I studied it hard. In high school, I belonged to English department. Everyone liked English in my class, so English became difficult. We studied it many hours in my high school. I like English, because English can be speak foreigner. I want to talk many people. I study English because I like English. If I go foreign country, I can talk them by English. I have to learn it more.

My favorite music is American R&B. I especially like Chris Brown. He is only20 years old. His song and voice are very nice. There are many good songs. I like a song that “With You”. This is love song.Also, I like T-Pain. His voice is very unique like a robot’s voice in his songs. His songs entertain me, so I often listen them.

I will tell you about my travel experience. I went to Okinawa with my club members in this spring. I had have never been there. Okinawa was very nice place. There was beautiful sea in Okinawa. Essay#5: The Worst Day in My Life

I have no idea about my worst day, so I will tell you hard days in my life. It is preparation term for Takumasai last year. I belong to Sanpo circle, and we try to hard to make exhibition things. We make wonderful exhibition room for only 1 month. It is so hard.

Last year, our exhibition’s theme was “World”, and we divided it into 5 booths. 5 booths are Asia, America, Africa, Oceania and Europe. I joined in American team. Our team’s concept was American bar. We made table, chair, darts board, billiards, and American flag and so on. We had to make all of those for 1 month so I went to work place everyday.

I made a bear. I made it from Styrofoam and hemp rope. The bear’s eyes were marbles. I shaped Styrofoam like a bear. It is very difficult so I was helped by my friend. It took about 2 weeks to make it.

Those days were very hard, but when I looked finished goods, I really moved them. It was very high quality. In Takumasai, our circle’s exhibition room got a prize. I was so happy, and everyone was happy in my circle.

Also, Takumasai will be held this year, and we try hard to make many things for it. It wills hard days too, but I will do my best to get prizes. Hard days are guided us happy day. So I will try to hard it this year.

I think 2006 Odyssey is best car. I like white and big family car. This car has 7 seats so 7 people go together anywhere. Also, this car has ETC. it is very convenient for me. I often go far places, so I use superhighway. ETC becomes cheaper than usual. HDD NAVI is very nice to go strange way. I often lost way so it is very good for me. I watched a movie which name is "My Life Without Me". In Japan, people call the name of this movie "死ぬまでにしたい１０のこと". The title looks very sad story, but it is not too sad. I like this story. I will tell you this story a little.

A heroine is Ann. She has two young daughters and a husband. She works as a janitor in a university at night. Her father has spent the last ten years in jail. One day, she collapsed in her house, and she went to a hospital. A kind doctor told her shocking news. She will die for 2 or 3 month, but she doesn't tell the bad news anyone. She wrote 10 things what her want to do by her death, and she tried to do those things.

After I watched the story, I thought that I have to make good use my lifetime. I don’t know when my friends, family or me die. If I will die after 3 month, I will do a lot of things. I will do trip. I will see a lot of view, which I have never seen. I will go to Disney Land of Florida. I have more wishes, but I can’t come up with.

I’ve been working at Yakiniku restaurant called “Pinehill” as a part-time worker. I need money because I like to go shopping. I work 4 days a week, so I don’t get paid much. However, I made a lot of friends through working there. I always hang out with them after work. We like going to eat at “Joyfull” and to sing at karaoke box.
